Yellowjackets season 2 adds Nicole Maines, François Arnaud, and Nia Sondaya

Season 2 of the Showtime series Yellow jackets should start broadcasting 26th of MarchMay (or you can stream and watch it on-demand two days early on March 24), and with that date only a few months away diversity broke the news that viewers will see three new faces in recurring roles when the season airs. Nicole Maines (super girl), Francois Arnaud (The Borgias) and Nia Sondaya (To be honest) have joined the cast, with Maines taking on the role of Lisa, "an Adult Lottie staffer trying to recover from a past trauma"; Arnaud plays Paul, "a New York writer and secret friend of Coach Scott who reminds Coach Scott of what could have been"; and Sondaya replaces Keeya King as Teen Akilah.

Variety notes that Arnaud's character, Paul, will appear in four episodes of the new season.

Christina Ricci and Juliette Lewis play the leading roles Yellow jackets, which has been described as "equal parts survival epic, horror story, and coming-of-age drama." The story turns around a team of highly talented high school soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the Ontario wilderness. The series will chronicle their descent from a complicated but thriving team to warlike, cannibalistic clans while also tracing the lives they tried to piece together nearly 25 years later, proving the past is never really over and what happened in the past began The wilderness is far from over.

The series was created, written and executive produced by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson (who serve as showrunners alongside executive producer Jonathan Lisco). Also starring are Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Ella Purnell, Sammi Hanratty, Sophie Thatcher, Steven Krueger, Amy Okuda and Jasmine Savoy Brown, Courtney Eaton and Liv Hewson.

More new additions to the cast Yellow jackets Season 2 will be Lauren Ambrose (servant), Simone Kessell (Obi Wan Kenobi), Elijah Wood (the Lord of the rings trilogy) and guest star Jason Ritter (Freddy vs Jason), who happens to be married to Lynskey.

Ricci and Hanratty play the current and teenage versions of Misty, the "Yellowjackets Equipment Manager." Eager to please and easily overlooked, Misty's team spirit belies a hidden dark side.” Lewis plays the modern-day version of a character named Natalie, while Sophie Thatcher plays the teenage Natalie. "Despite her natural talent, Natalie's punk rock spirit and habit of finding trouble make her the least likely member of the team. As an adult, Natalie struggles to calm the demons that still haunt her from her time in the wild." Purnell's character is Jackie, "the magnetically charismatic, effortlessly popular, occasionally titled captain of the Yellowjackets." Lynskey and Nelisse are the current and teenage versions of a character named Shauna. “25 years later, Shauna is on a quest to take back her agency—her life—while doing everything in her power to protect her darkest secrets.” Krueger plays Ben Scott, “the assistant coach and the object of many unrequited ones swarms". Okuda is Cat Wheeler, "a history teacher who was recruited to increase the female presence on the coaching staff, despite knowing literally nothing about football." Cypress and Brown both play the character Taissa, "the star player on the Yellowjackets roster; now, 25 years later, their political ambitions threaten to derail the survivors' pact of secrecy.” Hewson and Ambrose play team member Van der Yellowjackets. Eaton and Kessell play team member Lottie, who is forced off her antipsychotic medication after the plane crash. And Wood will play a dedicated Citizen Detective.
