The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) vs The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)- Original Vs Remake

When it comes to horror movie icons, Leatherface might stand head (or face) and shoulders above the rest. What sets him apart from the likes of Freddy, Jason, Chucky, and other slashers is the fact that he's only human. Nothing supernatural here - unless you count how many times he's restarted or how convoluted the timeline of his mayhem has gotten. But now that the big boy has given birth to another sequel, it's time to look back at the two main entries in the franchise — and sorry to those who hold the zany 1986 sequel in their hearts. I'm talking about the one who started it all, Tobe Hoopers The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974), which starred a handful of unknown actors and was produced on a tight budget. Upon its release, it was a smash hit at the box office and launched a franchise that includes the 2003 remake, produced by Michael Bay The Texas Chainsaw Massacre with Jessica Biel. The remake is still a nasty piece of work, even if it's more polished than the original. But which of these films will survive and what will be left of it? Just one way to find out: EXHIBIT!
