Netflix hit returns this winter

One of Netflix's most popular shows is returning to the service sooner than expected. Netflix fans You was expecting Thanksgiving when the service announced the Penn Badgley hit would return February 9th, one day earlier than the previously announced date. The caveat is that season four won't be released all at once as the service continues to experiment with staggered release dates. The first part of the season will premiere on the ninth, while the second half is set to make its Netflix arc exactly a month later 9th March. No news on how many episodes will be included in each part.

This season, Badgleys sends psycho-stalkers to England, with the official synopsis revealing:

After his previous life caught on fire, Joe Goldberg has fled to Europe to escape his "messy" past, embrace a new identity and, of course, pursue true love. But Joe soon finds himself in the strange new role of a reluctant detective when he discovers he may not be the only killer in London. Now his future depends on identifying and stopping whoever is targeting his new group of overly wealthy celebrity friends...

In addition to Badgley, the new season also features the return of Unexplored's Tati Gabrielle while Charlotte Ritchie, Ed Speelers and more join the cast.

Confession Time - I've never seen an episode of Youbut I understand that it's become something of a cult phenomenon, which is interesting since it started out as a life Lifetime Series. It had very little impact there but became a phenomenon when it hit Netflix, where it has been running ever since. The staggered release of the season is interesting as I understand the show never really caught on until people could devour it, so it seems like a bit of a risky strategy.

You has become a runaway hit for the service, with the show regularly topping Netflix's top 10 charts, with the Season 3 premiere being particularly bumpy Squid Game back from the top spot in October 2021. While there's no season rank in the most-watched shows of all time list, it's possible that this fourth season will just suffice.
